Things that I Love #1: Pencils
I'm starting a new series on this blog, Things that I Love. Obviously, there are a few things that go without saying, like Brooklynne, Halleigh, and Kona Bean, for example. Ur... not that I wouldn't say it... um... I am saying it... but you know what I mean. This is for the less significant things that fill me with a little joy every once in a while.
So without further ado, I love pencils.
In fact, I love them so much that yesterday, I took the pencil sharpener from the common area outside of my cube and put it on my desk.
I had noticed for some time that I am the only person on my floor who still uses old-fashioned, wood-and-graphite pencils, and I had to walk out of my cube and across to a space directly behind a co-worker to sharpen my pencils every day. So yesterday, I had an Office Space experience, and just took the pencil sharpener for myself.

I love office supplies in general. I could seriously spend more money in Office Depot or someplace similar than I could spend in any dept. store.
I first read the headline as you loving #1 pencils...which are kind of like the Wally Pipp of pencils.
I agree with Possum; the title threw me for a loop. ha ha ha I am sure that you actually like #2 pencils, this is just the #1 installment of things that I love. :)
Anyway, I think my red stapler is a really well organized binder with dividers and folders. There is nothing like a well organized binder!
That and a really great black pen. A pen that write smooth and bold.
This makes me miss school!
p.s. That is the most ghetto, old-school pencil sharpener that I have ever seen.
p.p.s. Do you remember that we used to have a pencil sharpener, but it started on fire and you were so sad to have to throw it out.
That pencil sharpener catching fire incident is the only thing that makes me believe I could one day start a fire by rubbing two sticks together.
I, too, love pencils. But they must be the right density. The ones that are too hard are kind of squeaky and the ones that are too soft are crumbly. There is quite a bit of variety even among the #2 pencils. Miles, do you love how nerdy I am about pencils?
