Thierry Henry
  1. Brooklynne posted some new Halleigh shows. She's out-blogging me lately. I better get it together or she'll get the scoop on every Halleigh video.
  2. I think the long wait for an announcement from Hansbrough, Ellington, and Lawson is a bad sign.
  3. Now I have something to shoot for.
  4. Brooklynne is making me go running today.
  5. Dad should have the address, well, and building plans for the mountain cabin lined up by next weekend, when we are planning a few work days. Cross your fingers for good weather.
  6. LOST began again last night. The writer's strike cut out the last 3 weeks of the season, but that's better than 8.
  7. Thierry Henry is rumored to be considering a move to the MLS. I decided recently I should become a MLS fan, but really there are no teams in a natural geographic proximity to us here, so I think I'm going to adopt the Kansas City Wizards. They are one of the charter teams, they have a history through their connections to Lamar Hunt, and they're doing pretty well right now.
  8. Just got a call from the mechanic. Not good news. I keep telling myself at least no one died.

The wait is over! I wonder whether Ellington and Lawson will actually go or not. I think they'll come back. Or maybe I just hope so.

I love soccer (or football as I'm told)! And I love Henry. I also like how the US is becoming like the Euro-retirement-village for pro-footballers...kind of funny. Anyway, I think it's a major loss for Europe if he takes the jump (and his kids who now live with their mom but that's another story) but I'd be happy to see soccer do well here. If for no other reason than maybe they will show more than the Champions League Final 4 games on TV.

Good Luck with Kansas City!

MLS coverage is terrible. I think people would like it and the league would do better if they could just get a little good coverage of the league and the games. After looking for a team to adopt, I realized how abismal the reporting is for the MLS. Someone really needs to start a MLS website with real reporting rather than the pathetic blurbs with fake European-style grammar and jargon. American sports fans don't want to hear the field called a pitch, and a win and a loss are both a result, etc., etc.

Maybe I should do it and get in on the ground floor while this MLS thing is still kind of new. (I can hear Brooklynne groaning from here....)

ha ha ha, you know me so well! One more thing on your plate, great.
Although, it might be a good way to break into the sporting world that you want to be part of...
I wonder how difficult it would be. It probably would pay for itself in advertising. That might be a kind of cool part-time gig.
