Monday News Roundup
- Ty Lawson looked decent, but not up to speed on Saturday. I hope he shows some of the old wheels on Tuesday.
- I honestly think that McCain is justified in opting out of public financing, but I also hope the flap will lead to a court ruling that will keep canidates from thumbing their noses at the ability of regulators to enforce finance rules.
- I ran the 1.5-mile pump station loop at the Eno yesterday and it kicked my butt. I've only run once in the past year, and I've gained 30 pounds since I used to run 5 or 6 miles 5 days a week. The crop walk is in 2 weeks. Perhaps i can run enough between now and then to enjoy that one?
- Do I have any friends who would like to take part in an art show?
- I had lunch with David Kernodle yesterday. He seems to be doing well. He's looking for internships in Charlotte. Better than Bolivia, I guess, but I wish the guy would be around for a summer.
- Wednesday night, I will be marking my passage into fogey-hood. Anyone who wants to help celebrate my 30th birthday should come over at 7:30pm for a movie and ice cream. The movie will be King of Kong: a Fist Full of Quarters. I'll provide the ice cream, you provide the toppings.

Miles! Check out this website! Maybe you already know about it and I'm way behind on this sort of stuff but with the gas prices these days it's worth the hunt around town...

Ps-Happy Birthday Early!
What's your favorite topping Miles? I will make sure it appears. :)
I wish I could be there!
I forgot to tell you on Sunday that I used to play Donkey Kong all the time with my brothers on our Colleco Vision (sp?) You should see my timing on those barrels. Will there be an opportunity to test our skillz?
I'll bring the bananas.
There just might be an opportunity to play.... I'll see what I can come up with.
Kristy, I don't really have a favorite topping, but be creative!
Kristy,
I don't know if this really counts as an ice cream topping, but Miles LOVES reese's pieces.
Great suggestion Brooklynne! I'll add it to my list. Wish you were back in town!
