How to stimulate the workforce

el-milo.jpgI think I would work better if everyone would wear a Mexican westling mask to work each day. No one would know my true identity, so I could be much more daring and creative. People would respect eachother, lest they get the flying elbow off the top of the fuzzy cubical divider. And we would just look more complete. Who ever thought it would be a good idea to wear a tie without a Mexican wrestling mask?!!!

I think that is a great idea, and my husband would probably agree. :) You might have to learn a few swear words in Spanish for good measure. (That was a joke...)

Beth Ann, What did Jesus think about Nacho Libre? Did he like/ think it was funny?

You know what? We have not even seen Nacho Libre. We have had the DVD for months now but haven't watched it. Having a preschooler who wants nothing but "kids" (his word for PBS) on when the TV is on kinda puts a damper on our movie-watching. He was a fan of the "lucha libre" in Mexico before he came here, so my guess is that he would at least find it mildly amusing. :) We'll have to watch it & let you know.

You need to institute a rule about if you want to watch kid stuff, you have to buy your own TV! By the way, Nacho Libre was better than expected (Burly may chime in here any minute). Certainly worth putting the kid to bed early one night.

Burly said:

I'm guessing that Nacho Libre was not "historically or culturally accurate," but it certainly is one of the greatest comedies ever made. It stars Cory Cav ... er ... I mean ... Jack Black, so it's not for everyone. It has some of the greatest one-liners of all time. And the romance factor is high for those who want to have a drama/action adventure/chick flick/just-plain-ol'-quality-film all rolled into one.

BTW - we've let Sam watch it ... but don't think that was a good idea ... he loves to wrestle his brother ... he loves to taste the glory -- to see what it tastes like ... and he doesn't need Ignacio's encouragement.

Hey Brooklynne -- ever since you guys came to visit Daniel has insisted that I call him "baby Halleigh." Especially if I'm asking him to do something he doesn't want to do..."no, Mama, I'm baby Halleigh." Ok, back to Mexican wrestling masks.

Kristy said:

Beth, that is hysterical. I can't believe Daniel says that. Too funny!

Brooklynne said:

I LOVE IT! That makes me so happy that Daniel remembers Halleigh! Sorry that he uses it to his advantage to try to manipulate you. ha ha ha
