Many of you know that Brooklynne and I enjoy taking pictures, and this spring I exhibited a few pieces at Broad Street Cafe here in Durham. The exhibit was semi-successful, and it has made me want to send more time and energy to the art. Alot of times I take pictures of things I think would make interesting paintings, but as busy as I've been since beginning school again, I haven't had time to work on much. Still the backlog of planned paintings has led to a growing body of photos that represent some of the beautiful places we've been and the interesting things we've seen. Here is a gallery of some of my favorite scenery-type photos that Brooklynne and I have taken over the past four years or so.

I like the feet picture best. I have long since wanted to take one of our family similar to that one. The idea isn't copyrighted, I hope. ;)
Hey Brooklynne,
I would love to read that book you mentioned on my blog. If you have a copy you could mail to me I would read it and then mail it back to you. Our library doesn't have it. I totaly agree that homebirth is not for everyone!! We are planning to get an ultrasound at around 24 weeks or so to make sure the baby is 100% healthy and the placenta has good placement. We are absolutely ready to do whatever it takes to have a healthy baby and if that means a hospital birth or a c-section, we are ready for that. I am so glad that you had such knowledgable doctors and were able to deliver safely. It is a miracle how far medicine has come. Also, we ought to try and get together sometime. Durham is only about a hour from Wilson and I used to live there when I went to UNC-CH. I am sure Elijah would love to play with Halleigh. I would love to actually meet you in person!
