April 2007 Archives
This video is a hillarious one. My granny (my dad's mom) sent Halleigh this singing duck for her six month birthday... Halleigh's reaction to it the first three times I played it for her are seen here. The last one with the stunned silence at the end is the best.
p.s. She loves the duck now. We have had to replace the batteries in it already. She is crazy about the thing. If I never hear "you are my sunshine" again it will be too soon. We put the duck next to her changing table and it keeps her entertained so I can work on the task at hand.
Here are two videos of our little bundle of joy. First one is of Halleigh waking up... she's so sweet first thing in the morning.
The second is of her razzing. It has become her favorite thing to do. Although just here in the last couple days she has started liking to make the oooooooooooo sound.

Here is the latest in Halleigh's collection of cakes. I really like the way that it came out except that the purple is a little gray looking. I think that I added too much blue and not enough red. There are a couple other pictures of Halleigh's 7 month birthday dinner... mmmm carrots!

So close to crawling! Soon, she'll be unstoppable!

Could those eyes be any more blue?

want some carrots, Mom?
Today at 2:51am, Halleigh turned 7 months. She has been here for the majority of a year. Miles and I have kept her alive for the better part of a year; that is an accomplishment, really. We were a little shocked when they just let us walk out of the hospital with her, they didn't care, aparently, that we had no idea what we were doing... Not that we aren't good parents, in fact I would venture to say (modesty aside) that we are GREAT parents, but none-the-less, we have reached a milestone. Happy Birthday Halleigh-gator! To see Halleigh's collection of cakes, read on.
Here is some footage from a coupld days, as Miles gets his garden going. Updating this video though, he has the plants now in the ground. We have pictures that we will put up of our fresh new garden, but I have no idea where the camera is... when I find the camera, I'll put up some pics. I think it might be outside...
p.s. Carlie gave Halleigh the hat that she has on... it is one of Halleigh's favorites! Thanks Carlie!
Halleigh loves her swing. She would spend all her time in it if we let her. Here is a video of her playing with her mobile in her swing. Miles had attached another toy to her mobile and it hangs down a little farther than the other actual mobile toys, and as you will see, Halleigh actually gets ahold of it for a minute.
But she soon tires of the hunt and decides on... a nap.
As I told you yesterday, I am going to be trying to catch you up in Halleigh Shows. Here is a little video at the Carolina Duke Game on the 4th of March. At the end of the video you will see the event of the season. When Henderson smashed "Phyco T's" face, we were glad that we had it on video... very sad that it had happened.
Our little Tar Heel had fun, she likes all the people and lights. She went to all four games that we went to this year. Sleeping for part of every game, which was amazing since it was LOUD!
We bought her the little cheerleading outfit for the season, but the "brain squeezing" bow band was special for this game. Something of a rally cap, if you will. ENJOY!
Well, since there has been wailing and gnashing of teeth over the fact that we haven't done a Halleigh Show in FOREVER, here is a new one. I have a ton of footage that is really cute, so I will try to get you all caught up in the next week or so, so stay tuned to several new Halleigh Shows in the next couple days.
I know that we haven't posted in FOREVER! But we have been busy, busy, busy. I am somewhat of a hypocrite, because I check other people's blogs when I have a minute and I am always so sad when a few days have gone by without a new post... hello! It has been a month since we last posted.
So, I wanted to share my latest projects with you all.
