GREAT- Nomar Garciaparra (LA Dodgers first baseman) and Mia Hamm (former UNC soccer player, former Olympic soccer player, former professional soccer player), who are married, are expecting twins in the spring. Yeah for them! I am sure that they will hire a nanny, one is hard enough! They are going to have TWO right at the beginning of baseball season... that girl is going to need some help. Nomar, I will completely understand if you miss a ball or two due to sleep deprivation!

SAD- Strangely enough this has to do with the Dodgers also... they are moving Spring Training from Vero Beach, FL to Arizona! AHHHHHH!!! NOOOOO DON'T DO IT! They said that it is to cut costs, Florida is farther away than Arizona. HELLO YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL TEAM, YOU BRING IN A GAZILLION DOLLARS A YEAR, I THINK YOU CAN AFFORD IT! What about tradition? The Dodgers have been going to Vero Beach's Dodgertown since 1948! Alas, all good things must come to an end, and here is the end for Dodgertown. So if you ever wanted to go to spring training for the Dodgers at the historic Dodgertown, you better go this year, because this is it. Miles and I went two spring breaks ago, and watched them play the Nationals (it was their inaugural year in DC, where we lived at the time). It was awesome. Our souvenirs are going to become collectors items... eBay here I come. ha ha just kidding!

FUNNY- A Mongolian beach volleyball player was asked about how her country will fare in the Asian Games (which are this week) and she said, "Beach volleyball in Mongolia is very difficult because we don't have any beaches." Poor Mongolia, they are at a great disadvantage being land locked.
