Hospital hospital

|

It's been a few days and I haven't been in touch because Brooklynne and I have had an unexpected return to the hospital. Don't worry--we're all fine, and we're finally going home tomorrow. I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments and emails. It's been great to hear from all of you and to share our little girl with all of our friends and family. I'll continue to post pictures from time to time as Halleigh grows up, so keep coming back!

Brooklynne after 24 hours at the hospital

Well, it's time. After a month off from blogging I find myself re-entering the digital world with a bang. I'm coming to you from UNC hospitals, where Brooklynne and I have been in labor and delivery since about 10am Friday morning. It is now almost 3:30pm saturday and it looks like we still have a long row to hoe.

The reason we've been here so long is that Brooklynne has had high blood pressure and headaches, so the doctors decided to induce labor. She started on pitocin yesterday, but then went off of it so she could sleep. The picture is from this morning, before they put her back on the horomones. Now, she is 3cm and having contractions about every 2-3 minutes. Looks like I'll be a dad before the weekend is up.
