Birthing class

Tonight was our first birthing class. It was good. Kind of like I expected it to be. We met lots of nice people and discussed in general terms alot of the typical issues that people deal with. I'm sure there will be more detail in subsequent sessions. My favorite part of the night was the end when we all got mats and we laid down and relaxed with quiet music playing in the background. If that's what giving birth is like, sign me up to be a doula!

One funny story... The instructor asked us what would help us relax after a stressful day at work. After a few weird responses, one guy said "a Miller Light." The Instructor, who evidently did not hear him well, replied, "I like to turn down the lights too." The guy next to me said, "I'd like to turn down the lights about six times."

Anyway, after 2 and a half hours of "expressing my feelings" about pregnancy, I felt the need to reestablish my manhood. So, Brooklynne challenged me to eat a BK quad stacker. Click "continue reading" below for the pictures.

So did you complete the burger?

That is a very manly burger.

Did you eat the whole thing? (No shame if you didn't.)

Live large now! When you are my age you won't be munching down a BK quad stacker, but rather 20mgs of Lipitor. That thing looks like a real heart stopper!

I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed, but I finished the burger plus a large order of fries, no problem.

That reminds me of the Big Barn Burrito challenge. Ouch.

You have now eaten enough grams of fat to last you until your daughter is at least two years old!

Hey Miles...I thought I would let you know that my son, who loves anything on wheels, gave the orange Vespa in your previous post a kiss when he saw it on the computer screen. Completely unprompted to do so.

This morning, David and I were trying to do math (a very bad idea for me on Monday morning) to figure out how many days until the due date of the niece. I laughed when I checked your blog and was reminded that you have a countdown here. 27 days! Hurry up little niece!

That has more meat than a Pickle Barrel sandwich!
