Catching-up
Well, you hadn't heard from me (Brooklynne) in a while, and I have had a special request from Miles to post, so... I'll catch you up on the latest.
We have had a whirlwind of a summer so far. At the end of the school year, we had week to pack up our house and move our stuff down to NC before taking off on a two week trip out west. It was awesome to see my family and spend some quality time with them. They were really excited to be able to see, in person, my growing belly.
We have our first North Carolina baby doctor appointment tomorrow; we are both pretty excited about that. We are going to have our girl at UNC Hospitals... we have to start the Carolina brainwashing early.
Although, Miles wanted me to tell you Beth Ann, that we are taking the Labor and Birth Education class at WakeMed starting on the 15th of August.
We are glad to be in North Carolina, although it has been a little rough getting settled, because we aren't settled at all yet. We have been church shopping and job hunting, which both are not really fun but oh so necessary. We are getting ready to move out of Miles' parents house, into Miles' grandpa's vacant house. A definite step in the right direction, but I don't think that either of us will feel completely "moved in" and settled until we have a house of our own. But this is a fantastic opportunity and we are thankful that it is there.
Kona is doing great. She is adjusting to being a Durham dog. We have taken her to the local PetsMart and it seemed to sufficiently satisfy her shopping needs. Although, she is really looking forward to checking out the Eno River. Last year she wasted no time jumping in and taking a swim, I am sure that it will soon become her favorite swimming "pool."
We are headed to the "green hills" of Tennessee the fist week in August to see my dad's family again. There is an Olds Family reunion in Crossville, TN. So if you know of anything fun to do in the booming metropolis of Crossville, TN, let us know.

Speaking of churches, Steve Mathewson who did your marriage counseling is now the pastor of a church in Libertyville, IL ... one city below where we live and the city where OUR church is.
As for churches to try ... I'd recommend trying Blacknoll Presby in Durham, though I've never been there. Miles may have been ...
There's also an Anglican Mission in America chuch ... someone also told me that this church: http://www.apostles-raleigh.org/ in Raleigh is cool. None of this can I confirm or deny.
Good to see you two posting again!
we took Aileron to the Eno yesterday. he loved it. let us know when you take Kona...maybe we can make it a dog date. (i promise that he won't try to hump her face.)
I'm drinking Dr. Pepper right now!
