bow tieI finally have a short while to take a break between school responsibilities. This week is a particularly bad week of work and thus the lack of recent blog entries. Do not fear! I will continue. but for now, satisfy your self with these fun bow tie links (special thanks to the bald blogger).

I love bow ties.
#2 points out an excellent advantage of the bow tie. David wanted to take up the bow tie before he began his job, but is currently reluctant because he thinks that starting to wear one now would cause an embarrassing stir among his, for the most part, uberconservatively-clothed colleagues. After brief reticence last year, he did introduce a tie with pink in it (look out, crazy), without incident, so I think he should go for this accessory that would be so flattering to his physique. (He's not nearly as dramatic as 6'10", 140, however.) I think the easy way to convince him would be to spring for the Carolina blue and white diagonal version from Julian's. On the other hand, I could get five good-looking neckties for what that would cost us, so maybe David will have to miss out on the addition of "visual girth" for the time being.
FYI: giving David anything, short of a dress, in Carolina blue will guarantee that he will wear it.
