Evan is back
Evan and Kelly came over for the first time since he moved back to the east coast last night and we had alot of fun. We played this crazy game called Settlers of Catan. I would the describe the game as a shortened cross between Risk and Monopoly. Here's what the game looks like:
I lost. But the good news is that Brooklynne wasted all of us, so for a while this will be her favorite game. I have to say that I would have won except for my new nemesis, the robber!
Now I'm off to the Middle School guys' sleepover. Pray for me and the boys. Thanks!
Settlers is such a nerdy game (but it's oh so much fun). The nice thing about it is that it's Risk for pacifics ... and a LOT shorter.
I've been trying to get some folks together for a game of settlers of cannan, that I got in March for my birthday and haven't played yet. Amy's not a Settlers fan. What version of the game is in the bottom pic? Electronic? Don't know why but it brings back memories of the original Electronic talking battleship.

I don't know what that is in the bottom picture. I didn't take my own pictures, so I just googled the game and copied some pics. I picked that one shot especially for the high tech look. I didn't think of battleship, but good call! Is it weird that you would have an electronic Catan? Reminds me of Tatooine in Starwars or something (primitive frontier world infused with futuristic detail). Does that mean the robber is like Darth Vader?
I LOVE SETTLERS!!!!! Is that board digital...or are my eyes just messed up?? craziness I tell ya!
