Hair Styles
Brooklynne and I were just discussing my hairstyle for the upcoming school year. As some of you know I have had a few changes over the years, but mostly my hair has stayed the same old brown football helmet since I was born. So we decided we should have some fun and maybe boost our readership as well. So today I am announcing a contest to determine my hair for the next 8 months or so. By following the "continue reading" link at the bottom of this post, you will be able to view six of my favorite rockstar hairdos. Then you can vote for the one you would like to see me imitate by leaving a comment. On September 1, Brooklynne and I will talley the votes and I will embark on the hair adventure of YOUR choosing! I've been sportin' the Stipe for a few years now ... I recommend the Jagger for you, Miles. Not too much to do for upkeep, and it's a mini-mullet ... mullets and mullet hatin' are out of style, but I think a mini-mullet is just fine.
I think this is a subtle ploy to give my mother a coronary. (Just kidding; she has chilled out a lot since your high school days.)
I'm with Burly and voting for Mick.
An outside viewer (my office mate, Will Acuff) says you should go with the Slash.
So if one of the curly ones wins, are you going to get a perm? I might change my vote...
Brooklynne has offered to give me a home perm if necessary, but no changing votes (too hard to count). And Mom can't complain unless she campaigns (or at least votes)! This is an open forum, so Mom is welcome to state her case and recruit voting supporters (i.e. Grandmothers, etc.). So at the end of day one of the voting, here's the standings...

I'm gonna have to step out of line and vote for the John Denver.
Although, I've always wanted to see the mohawk-look Miles that I've only heard tale of.
Since I have had to shave Miles' head several times for the Stipe look, I am hoping for something a little different. Although I love the John Denver (I had that hair-do for a while when I was little) and the Slash (can you imagine Miles with a perm?!?!) look, I think that I am going to have to jump on the band wagon and vote for Mick Jagger.
I was just thinking though that if Slash won, you would get the Prince look too, since Miles would have to grow his hair out through the Prince stage to get the full beauty of the Slash hair... It's like a two for one deal! Slash on!

I don't recognize any of these except John Denver and Mick! But I think Mick's style suits you the best - not too much time and effort required and besides you already had the John Denver cut when you were 4 years old!- also you'll probably have to have that last look in your later years whether you want it or not! The curly ones would be very annoying and high maintenance. My vote is the Mick Jagger look. Definitely you , Miles.
Dave says that he votes for Mick Jagger.
I like the Prince because I detect a hint of geri-curl, but I am going to have to go with John Denver - I don't wanna see no ears showin'! Mick Jagger is too run-of-the-mill.
