The City Corner Cafe

|

Tonight, Miles and I went to the City Corner Cafe in Old Town Manassas. For our first review, I rated it in five categories: price, selection, atmosphere, food and drink, and service....

Value: C
The price was a little high for the amount and quality of food. Appetizers ranged from $6-9, entres from $15-30.

Selection: B
Some restaurants have too many things on the menu and some have too few. The selection was not the best, but there were enough different items, I think everyone could find something that they like on the menu.

Atmosphere: B+
We sat outside, which always is a plus in my book, but we were sitting literally over the fence from a railroad track and two trains went by, so that drops it from an A to a B.

Food and Drink: C
I had shrimp scampi, one of my favorites. It was okay... The shrimp scampi at Olive Garden was better and several dollars less. So if you are in the mood for shrimp scampi, go to Olive Garden.

Service: C
The restaurant was not busy at all--there was only one other table seated outside. The server could have been a little more attentive, but it was average service for Northern Virginia.

Overall: B-
It was good, and I would eat there again, but we might try somewhere else first.
