Yes, the baby is here. Beau Everett arrived on Thursday, April 23rd. He is beautiful and amazing.  I can't believe that he is already a week old.

Halleigh has adjusted well, so far, to being a sister; only a few bumps so far.  She is a little mommy, she loves Beau, and tells everyone that he is HER baby Beau. It's great; I hope they always love each other like this.

I am tired, sore, and start to panic everytime I think about my mom leaving... but I am loving every minute of it. ha ha ha

For pictures of our growing family check out Miles' blog. I'll get pictures up soon, I just have been a little busy... cheers!

Welcome Home

Since being home and trying to get back into the normal swing of things, I have been totally bogged down in organizing, laundry, cleaning, paying bills, WBS, etc. which leaves little time for creativity and blogging.  Hopefully things will get better soon...

One thing that I am excited about is that I am thinking of braiding a rug.  I have been thinking about it for a while now and have read about it and I think that it sounds really fun. I'll keep you posted as to my progress. On my to-do list today was to go and get the two books that the library has on braiding rugs, but Halleigh wasn't cooperating and we needed to come home and eat lunch and take a nap, so that will get pushed back until tomorrow.

In other news, I am starting to get a little stressed out about all the shuffling around that we are going to have to do to fit another kid in this house. I am thinking that if we don't start soon we are going to be in a situation like when Halleigh was born, where very little had gotten done and Miles played a lot of catch up while I was still in the hospital.

Birthday Bash Part 1

Since it was Halleigh's birthday yesterday, Miles took the day off (instead if taking his usual Friday) and we celebrated Halleigh all day. It began with chocolate chip pancakes in bed while opening presents, and then the afternoon at the Museum of Life and Science. She played so hard at the museum that she took a 3 1/2 hour nap, and I had to go in to wake her up to go to her party.

Dressed in her birthday dress that I made her we went over to Miles' parents house and had a family birthday party. She had lots of fun eating chocolate cake and opening presents.

Although not originally her favorite present, she screamed and threw a fit when we uncovered it, her horsey was a huge hit. The horse is great, I am going to have to get some video of it today so that you all can enjoy how funny she is riding it. It's only a matter of time before she is going to be bucked right off.

I cannot believe Halleigh is two!

p.s. you can click on the picture and it will open a new window with it much bigger

We had so much fun the first time, we thought we'd try it again!

I don't think Halleigh gets it, but she did like all the attention paid to her shirt! Oh, and by the way Miles and I are VERY excited too!
