Sorry

I am still alive, but on top of being nauseous pretty much all the time still, I have had a yucky cold that has taken over my life.

Also, I have become addicted to the Twilight books. Something that my 13 year old sister would be horrified by... don't tell her. ha ha ha (She's one of my most regular readers)

I went with some girlfriends to see the movie on Sunday night not knowing anything about the books, and by the end I decided that I would read the first book... and that was it. I have read the first two books (It's Tuesday night), and I am trying as hard as I can not to go and buy the 3rd book tonight. My mom is sending it to me and it will be here soon... I just need to know how the story ends... I hopelessly hooked.

Election Night Par-tay

| | Comments (0)

For election night we thought it would be fun to have a red, white and blue dinner.  We had a few people over to eat and watch the results come in. Just after everyone had left, they called Obama the winner. But we did have a great time... Obama cookies and all.

The bowl full of blue mush, is not play-doh... it's mashed potatoes dyed blue.

Thanks America!

Election Day Attire

Here is what Halleigh chose to wear on this historic day. Notice the bright yellow boots... on the wrong feet... Any outfit would be lacking without those things.

The tension is mounting

sparkely obama.jpgI thought this day would never come. I am sure that the candidates got little sleep.

If you read this blog and you haven't voted... GO VOTE!

I am a ball of nerves, scared, excited, hopeful, fearful... I love election day!

O-Bam-A.... O-Bam-A... O-Bam-A

We are hosting an election night dinner, where all the food is red, white, and blue. If you are in the area and free, come on over. Or if not and you have ideas about red food that would go with blue mashed potatoes, let me know. ha ha ha

Trick or Treat

| | Comments (2)

We had an awesome Halloween! It was so much fun taking Halleigh around for her first trick or treating experience.

We met up with our friends Chad and Ashley and their kids Jack and Louisa (Jack is the blonde pirate in several of the pictures).

It didn't take Halleigh very long to get the hang of what to do, and she really had a good time.

After trick or treating we went over to Pop and T's house for dinner, and as soon as we got home Halleigh took her bag and started going through her candy. It was hilarious... the same thing that we did as kids; it must be instinct to check out your loot once you get back to your hideout.

Also, if you click on the pictures, they will open, much larger, in another window.
