Halleigh's head trauma

| | Comments (3)

So many of you have read Miles' account of our trip to the doctor last night, if you haven't, read it here. It was not a fun experience, but we all got through it... I even held her while she got a shot of Lidocaine.  She didn't have sedation as Miles said, but the Lidocaine did numb it totally, so she didn't feel the staples go in.

I had to sleep in her bedroom last night and wake her up every three hours, so we are a little bleary eyed today, but Halleigh is totally acting normal, she is sitting in her rocking chair with taggie and a book reading about Mia Hamm playing soccer. We can't wash her hair for 48 hours so I have her hair up in a pony tail and besides a little pink tinge in some of her hairs, you can't tell anythng is a out of the ordinary.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the wound. Sorry, they are kinda gross.

I feel sorry for her ... because now she'll never be able to have my "hair" style.

Wow! So glad she is OK! What a trooper! Don't worry about the "hands off" thing Miles was posting. It is good to have a kid not scared of everything. Elijah is so outgoing and willing to try new things in part because we are the same way. IT is nice he is so independent sometimes. G

Awww...the poor sweetie. I am glad she's ok, and we are the hands-off sorts of parents too.
